FastTrack Live was born from conversations with AWS Media Services experts Phil Harrison and Carlos Salazar, who recognized that while AWS MediaTailor and Channel Assembly excel at Virtual and FAST channel creation, many organizations still needed a simpler interface for non-technical teams. Around the same time, we were showcasing VideoHeadline, an open-source AWS-based CMS developed at Qualabs. Merging these insights led us to create an accelerator that streamlines content orchestration, advertising, and scheduling—removing the technical barriers often faced by leaner teams.

With Phil guiding us on building FAST channels through AWS MediaTailor and ad servers, and Carlos offering a MediaTailor workshop, FastTrack Live now enables broadcasters and OTT providers to launch and monetize their channels more seamlessly. Thanks to their help, it shortens time-to-market and reduces complexity. In a climate where many FAST channels struggle with profitability, a cost-effective accelerator like FastTrack Live helps media ventures pilot new channels without heavy overhead. As we continue to integrate additional services, Qualabs remains committed to making FAST channel creation accessible, efficient, and profitable for organizations of all sizes.

Building on that foundation, FastTrack Live was developed as a VOD-to-Live scheduling tool aimed at streamlining the creation and management of virtual live channels. Designed with content creators, broadcasters, and media companies in mind, it integrates seamlessly with AWS Media Services and other platforms to deliver HLS and DASH streams. By allowing dynamic scheduling of on-demand assets into linear feeds, FastTrack Live lays a scalable groundwork for evolving workflows, while providing enough flexibility to adapt to various monetization or technical requirements.
