A service that could convert any VAST response from an Ad Server into Asset Lists or ListMPD, with the goal of providing the community with an open-source project that is easy to implement, thus quickly unlocking all the benefits of Server-Guided Ad Insertion.

A Player for MoQ with the goal of lowering the entry barrier to this technology. During the Summer Camp, efforts were focused on developing a player ready for real-time streaming use cases, with a primary focus on live sports events.

Wowza Live HLS Server-Guided Ad insertion
During the MonteVIDEO Summer Camp 2025, we created a proof of concept on how to use Wowza Streaming Engine alongside the VAST-2-SGAI project. This demonstrated how simple it is to implement SGAI using Wowza and hls.js.

Highlights from MonteVIDEO Tech Summer Camp 2025
MoQ Player Implementation:
This project successfully developed a basic player capable of handling fMP4 and LOC (Low Overhead Media Container) formats using the Media over QUIC (MoQ) protocol. The player introduces adaptive bitrate (ABR) ladder auto-selection, rethinking traditional HLS/DASH functionalities for a low-latency environment.
VAST to SGAI Conversion Service
This open-source tool converts VAST (XML) files into HLS Interstitials as AssetLists, enabling Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI). By integrating with native iOS, hls.js, and ExoPlayer environments, it removes the need for costly SSAI solutions and supports the rapid adoption of SGAI.
